Guatemalan El Injerto Huehuetenango
Finca El Injerto is about as professional as you can get. They are experts in the cultivation and meticulous in their processing. This, along with their well developed Social Responsibility practices, only seems logically that El Injerto coffees regularly earn Cup Of Excellence awards. From their website:
“Around 1900 he [the farms founder, Jesús Aguirre Panamá] started the planting and production of COFFEE, and called the farm EL INJERTO, as ‘injerto’ is the name of a fruit native to the area.
At present the farm is managed by the third and fourth generations of the Aguirre family, who...continue working with the same mission, to produce specialty coffee; maintaining agricultural practices friendly to the environment and focusing in entrepreneurial social responsibility to achieve a new farm management manner, economically viable for all parties involved.
The vision of El Injerto is to become a denomination coffee of known origin, of which the final consumer knows who produces it, where it is produced, and how it is processed.”
